This is a gorgeous design, MINT in original envelope with the instruction chart. This is an original, never a copy, reprint or re-issue at Toinette's
Bust 40, waist 34, hip 43 Wonderful LINGERIE / jackets / evening gowns! Circa 1942 this is a FABULOUS figure flattering nightgown and a DARLING bedjacket! You could use a luscious silk or satin and have the perfect 1940's evening gown! Filmy sheer silk, or spun rayon with embroidery and ribbons on the bed jacket. Oh, so feminine. These jackets are being worn as cocktail cover ups today!
This sleeveless gown has a "v" neck front and back. There are two sewn down pleats at the yoke. The surplice cut of the skirt accentuates the POSITIVE! The attached two piece skirt falls in a gentle, long lean cut, very flattering to any figure. A tie sash is inserted in the side seams and ties in the back.
The bed jacket is shown in two views. One version has a shaped hemline that finishes at bolero length. There is a scalloped collar with rutched trim (this is on the cuff as well) The long sleeves are gathered at the cap and again at the cuff. So Katherine Hepburn!
The second view of this sweet jacket has a traditional collar, short sleeves and a straight cut at the hem that finishes just above the hip. You will not be able to keep it in bed!
Make this outfit up in sheer rayon, silk or light weight satin for lingerie. Use silk velvet, pongee, silk, satin or lightweight jersey for an evening dress. Modern synthetics will work perfectly. Tons of FUN vintage fabric listings at Toinette's... take a peek!
