What a wonderful rendition of life-like beautiful irises. The artist Bay has chosen a rococo edged china mold to create his masterpiece on. He has painted to gorgeous deep purple iris flowers with beautiful olive green stems and leaves. He has added just enough white to the deep purple petals to soften and give each one of them depth. He has put this wonderful piece of art work on a background that blends from a purple to a soft cream color. The plate is signed on the front by the nineteenth century renowned studio artist, “Bay”. The back of this plaque is factory drilled for hanging. There are no hairlines or cracks; manufacturing anomalies do exist, the occasional tiny iron speck, dust 'bump' in the glaze, etc.
