This is a fantastic Limoges game plate or charger with pheasant. This charger is expertly hand painted with a colorful pheasant in a natural meadow setting. Background colors are a sunlit palette of blue, pink, yellow, amber, and taupe. The artist has placed his wonderful painted on a slight scalloped gold rim blank. The artist ‘Puisoyes or Puisoyer’ has signed the front of the plate. He is a listed Limoges artist and is listed in Mary Gaston's reference book: 'Collector's Encyclopedia of Limoges Porcelain' 3rd edition. There are no hairlines or cracks; manufacturing anomalies do exist, the occasional tiny iron speck, dust 'bump' in the glaze, etc
