This is a masterpiece done by a well known porcelain artist of the early 20th century; 'RANCON'. He has exhibited just how talented he is by painted beautiful yellow, pink and purple Poppies that encompass this whole charger. It’s like looking into a beautiful flower garden the colors are so vibrant and realist. He has painted the poppies coming out of a burgundy color background and gradually blended this into a soft butter yellow. The Artist has placed this masterpiece on an ornate scalloped charger and has applied one inch of roman gold finishing of this painting. Artist Rancon is a listed and featured French artist in many of the leading publications regarding collecting antique hand painted Limoges porcelain art. Other examples of his work can be found in, "Collector's Encyclopedia of Limoges Porcelain, First Edition," by Mary Frank Gaston, page 93; also in Debby DuBay's, "Living With Limoges," page 17. This piece is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or crazing. Looks wonderful displayed in my house and I’m sure it would look great in yours!!!
