Rare “One of a Kind” Signed ''Muville" 11 3/4'' Limoges Charger / Plaque Hand Painted with Seagulls – Lazeyraz, Rosenfeld & Lehman – Limoges France ca. early 1900's.

Muville has painted graceful seagulls gliding over this plate. His main focus is of a seagull with a fish going down to land to eat his supper. The other seagulls are coming in to join him. He has painted the gray shore line in the distance with a beautiful sunset in beautiful yellows, orange and reds. He has place rich burgundy, pink and yellow plant leaves in the lower corner of the plate balancing the scene out beautifully. This platter has a beautiful rococo scalloped rim painted in heavy roman gold. Muville was a famous French Porcelain Artist in the 1900’s. He was best known for his renditions of game painted on porcelain. Muville is listed in the “Collector’s Encyclopedia of Limoges Porcelain by Mary Gaston” and has many of his works shown.
