I love making prayer beads. Each strand takes a while to determine what beads and stones will be used, and just as important, how they will feel in your hands as you are praying, meditating, or just taking time to quietly sit and allow yourself to still your mind. What I like about this strand, first of all, are the colors. There are three large semi-transparent rutilated quartz in this strand and they are a beautiful deep blue. Contrasting them are faceted balls of varying shades of blues and greens. These are separated by sterling silver saucers. The loop consists of clear crystal beads with handmade Hill Tribe sterling silver spacers and the amulet is a sterling silver series of loops.

The second important component is the feel. You notice the contrast as you move down this strand, crossing your fingers over the many facets of the smaller balls to then change to the smooth surfaces of the larger quartz beads. It's almost as if you are moving from the tougher times, or the issue you are thinking about at the moment when your fingers move across the many angles of the facets, and then coming to an oasis, or a moment of reflection or perhaps a time just to rest before you move to the next matter on your mind when you touch the quartz.

When you reach the end, there is a sterling silver amulet waiting for you. The amulet consists of circles. They are said to be symbolic of wholeness, completeness and unity of the self. The circle is believed to symbolize infinity, the circle of life. 11" total length. Gift bag included.
