Offered is an unusual brooch that is signed Tortolani and dates from the late 1960s, the design is an ethnic style mask or face and features crushed stone that has been dyed giving the piece its wonderful colors, the setting is a brushed gold-tone and has nice depth allowing the crushed stone to be set within the gold-tone outlines of the pieced (almost in a cloisonné style). It measures 2 ½ by 1 inches and is in great condition; this is a very unique design for Tortolani jewelry and a great collector’s piece.
