Old 1986 Shipbuilder Beer Stein by Ceramarte

This nice old lidded beer stein titled "The Shipbuilder" is number 126737 from "The Building of America Stein Collection". It was handcrafted in Brazil exclusively for Avon Products by Ceramarte, one of the foremost stein makers in the world. On the bottom it is dated 1986, and signed by the artist, see photo of bottom.

The artwork on the front shows a shipbuilder working with a mallet and wood chisel. To his right is the bare hull of a ship that is under construction. Behind him is a tall ship ready to be launched. On the back side of the stein is a picture of the shipbuilder's sign, hanging from chains.

The top of the lid has has artwork showing a brace and bit, and a wood clamp.

Measures approximately 9-1/2" tall, Diameter is 4-1/2" at the base. The mouth is 3-1/2" in diameter. Width including the handle is 5-1/2".

Condition: Excellent; no chips, cracks, or repairs
