Ceramic Snuff Bottle with Bas-Relief Carved Roosters

This vintage snuff bottle was acquired at an Estate Sale. The gentleman conducting the sale said that his Mother had brought the bottle with her when she came to this country from Hungary, in the 1940's.

It may be Terracotta. It has a crudely carved design depicting two roosters on each side. The roosters and the surrounding borders are painted in green. The entire bottle is under glaze, except the red bottom.

The bottle is in good condition, but missing the stopper and spoon.

Measures approximately 3" tall x 2-3/4" wide x 1-1/4" thick.
