Royal Bayreuth Oval Covered Vegetable Bowl in the discontinued pattern "ROB2"

We have here a fine porcelain covered vegetable bowl, or casserole dish in the discontinued pattern "ROB2" by Royal Bayreuth..This pattern has a beautiful blue outer border with intricate details that include vines of deep pink roses and green leaves that form a swag around the outer edge of the cover and middle of the bowl. The handles are adorned with bright gold gilt overlay that really catches the light. The rims are trimmed in gold gilt as well. The bowl is stamped with the green Royal Bayreuth Bavaria mark.

A bowl identical to this one is for sale at another popular website for $110.

The vegetable bowl is in excellent condition and shows no chips, cracks, damage, or wear to the gold including the lid. This piece was used very few times if at all. It may have been for display only..

It measures 12-1/4" including the handles and is 3-1/4" deep without the lid, or 5-1/4" tall with the lid including the handle.
