Early, pale bisque German fashion doll, 17" tall, circa 1870's, in likely original costume and presentation.

The palest of smooth, creamy bisque on this beautiful fashion doll dreamy blue spiral-threaded glass eyes with oval outlined eye cuts, painted upper and lower lashes, multi-stroke feathered brows, accented eye corners, nostrils, and lips with darker separating line. She has her original blonde mohair wig and pate.

Wonderful and shapely original cloth body in Goldsmith style with patterned sewn-in stockings and red leather boots. Arms are leather with individually stitched fingers (one with a seam separation).

Doll is dressed in a lovely white lawn windowpane woven stripe with gathered bodice and skirt, set in tatted lace detailing, and self-sash, over lace-trimmed undergarments. Gorgeous straw hat with lavish silk trim.

Condition: Excellent; no chips, cracks, or repairs to the beautiful bisque head. Original wig is a little sparse, but still shows beautifully.
