Fan, antique hand held with folding screen, NO damage or repairs. Fan leaf is hand painted flowers, hand painting extends onto guards. Monture is ivorine, ribs, guards and sticks. This is a mid 19 century fan, span is 24 1/2", almost 180 degrees when open. 13" monture, guard is 5 1/8" with hand painted flowers. Guard has gold leaf scrolling. Fan is most likely American. Leaf of the fan is linen and machine made lace glued to the ivorine, shaped guard and ribs. Fan has metal rivet head and gold gilt, raised floral relief ring. Verso is not painted. See photos.
