SOLD Forbes Silver Syrup Pitcher with Under Plate

This vintage silver covered syrup pitcher with matching underplate saucer made by Forbes Silver Company of Meriden Connecticut. Old handle and ringed design pattern on lid, waist and bottom, with full covered lid with finial knob. Silver plated pattern looks like Oxford holloware to me. Circa early 1900s.

Forbes Silver Company was in existence from 1894 and was one of the original companies that formed the International Silver Co. Marked with Forbes eagle mark on the bottom with the pattern number 529.

Syrup or cream pitcher measures 4 3/4" tall and from tip of spout to end of handle is 4 1/2". Matching saucer underplate diameter is 4 3/4".

Condition is very good to excellent, no dents or damage, could use a good polishing. Packed shipping weight will be 1 & 1/2 lbs.
