Very special Winsch back 1907 Santa and Christ Child embossed postcard with stunning shimmery silver gilt watered silk-look finish! Entitled 'To Wish You A Merry Christmas', the image depicts Santa wrapped in a soft white robe with grey fur, an icy Crown on his head and a whip in his grey-gloved hand. He rides in a bright red sleigh with the Christ Child at the reigns, a golden Halo encircling his blond hair. The sleigh holds a large pine Christmas tree and wrapped package, a beautiful white Reindeer galloping in front. The image is outlined in holly berries and leaves and two small birds frolic at the bottom right. The card is in Excellent condition, mailed on December 24, 1907 to Plainfield, New Jersey. One tiny nick along the bottom front edge and barely imperceptible touches to the corners~not blunted. A rare crisp and clean card, highly collectible. Shipped in a rigid sleeve and waterproof mailer for a safe journey.
