Welcome to my Shop! Enter and Be Surprised by an Interesting Array of Gems! SALE ITEMS Delist 9/14!
Weighing 68.3 grams and measuring an awesome 8" long (and with a wearable length of 7-1/2"), this 11/16" wide bracelet has been woven from many different types of gold - cable chain, wire, mesh chain and diamond shaped embellishments. As you can see by the pictures, there are multiple solder marks on the reverse of the bracelet ensuring a strong bond between the different gold pieces.
Suspended from the bracelet are 6 of the largest charms I have ever seen. Each charm is in the 1-1/4" to 1-1/2" range and each charm is different. You get....
(1) A woven gold wire straw hat embellished with cultured pearls;
(2) A disc that proclaims A VOTRE SANTE (To Your Health) and shows two champagne glasses in a clinking position - stars flowing upward representing bubbles. And to add a little sparkle - 5 of the stars are highlighted by faceted diamonds (tested).
(3) A double layer charm proclaiming Happy Birthday and embellished with a four leaf clover set with blue synthetic stones.
(4) A disc set with a single faceted sapphire highlighting the etched stars surrounding the phrase in the center "Ben A'Kiba".
(5) An open heart filled with Cultured Pearls and holding two bells on the inside - set with blue sapphire cabs and more cultured pearls.
(6) A flat round disc holding a single 3D rose set with a faceted ruby.
As it is, the 6 charms fill the bracelet completely but obviously more can be added if desired. However, I think this bracelet is perfect as is though one or two of the charms can definitely be changed. 5 of the charms are soldered to the bracelet, 1 has an open jump ring. 5 of the charms are hallmarked 14K on the reverse; the wired straw hat charms tests for 14K. The bracelet is marked "Pat Pend 14K" on the button clasp and for added security, a safety latch has been placed on the catch.
Discovering 1960s charms is one of my favorite pastimes. The unfortunate part is that they are being scrapped due to their weight. But these mini "works of art" need to be saved - their like will never come around again!
One of a Kind? Most definitely. Valuable? Absolutely - wear your gold on your wrist instead of putting it in a safety deposit box. When they say "worth its weight in gold" well, about this piece, they were not kidding!
