Wonderful C.1950 14K Gold, Ruby & Sapphire "Aladdin's Lamp" Charm!

Back to the 60s with their delightful designs for gold charms! The 60s really are considered the heydey of manufacture as, in their opinion, bigger WAS better! And the more gemstones each charm contained - well, the more colorful, the more outrageous, the more MODern!

Here I have a hallmarked 14K gold triangular charm (rounded edges) that features Aladdin's lamp. Highlighted with GENUINE rubies & sapphires, this fabulous charm measures 1-3/16" x 1-1/2"; weight is 5.9 grams.

So very pricey in the 60s, I remember my mother saving money out of each paycheck in order to buy 1 of these beauties at a time! These VERY SCARCE large gold charms are being scrapped left, right and center and once they are gone - today's replacements will weigh less and feature synthetic stones and will be nowhere near the quality of those from the 60s. When they say that "older" is better - it's true! The 60s may be remembered for The Beatles and Tie Dyed fashions, but I'll always remember my mother's HEAVY laden charm bracelet with clinky, clunky gold charms of the 60s. Here's a chance to save one from being melted.
