With a lovely round slide, set "gypsy style" with a 5 pt. diamond (tested), this VINTAGE hallmarked *K (18K gold; also tested) yellow gold watch chain/slide chain measures a lengthy 25" long (doubled - to bottom of swivel); thats about 50" single length; weight of the piece is 15.9 grams.

The slide measures 3/8" x 3/8". Condition is very nice with a small "line" along the edge that looks like a tiny sliver of gold went missing. But because it is covered with the original gold "bloom" this appears to be a manufacturing flaw rather than a particular accident. The slide still stays in place when the necklace is worn. The chain itself is a twisted rope in excellent condition with a nice HIGH shine!

Overall condition is fabulous! This is one stunning chain that probably dates to the 1940s or thereabouts - Victorian revival period and is more than likely French in origin.
