This particular enameled box was produced by Kingsley Enamels of Worcestershire, England. The company had an illustrious history of fine metal and enamel work spanning from1904 until they were acquired by Moorcroft in 1998, and renamed Moorcroft Enamels. Moorcroft closed their enamel production in 2006.
This box measures 1.75" wide and 1" tall. The base is a bright white enamel over copper. The bezel is 22K gold plated brass. The lid depicts J. Dormouse, a character drawn and developed by Beatrix Potter. It appears to be a transfer print. The box is in excellent condition and comes in its original brown box with yellow satin lining. The presentation box is in excellent condition but does have a small white sticker on the underside stating P254 in ink which was probably an inventory number. An insert is included on Traditional Kingsley Enamels.
