Great collectibles, friendly service, careful packing and quick shipping - why buy anywhere else?
Frank Beall, a California decoy carver who passed away in the early 1990's, made beautiful decoys including salesman sample size replicas of turn of the century Mason decoys. This is one of those salesman sample size replicas of a Mason Pintail Drake with his signature dated 10-21-1988 and #2 of 2 on the underside. His method of staining and hand painting lets the beautiful wood grains show through. The decoy measures 9.75" in length and a width of 3". He is in very good condition with a slight scuff or two and a smattering of tiny bumps on the right side where it appears the stain bubbled up. The eyes are orange but it is difficult to tell if they are glass or plastic.
