The footed cup has five sublte flutes, as does the matching saucer. A bent loop handle trimmed in gold embellishes the cup. The lush ivy design provides a wide trailing border trimmed in gold. Gold embellishes both pieces and presents a contemporary flair to this very traditional design.
Made by Tuscan China (R.H. & S.L. Plant Ltd) that produced fine china between 1898-1970 at the Tuscan Works, Longton, England, the company was acquired by the Wedgwood group. Its modern marks incorporate the name 'Royal Tuscan'.
Backstamp: In green. Tuscan Fine English Bone China. Made in England. Pattern D2294. c.1947+
Dimensions: Cup - 4 1/2" to handle x 3" H; Saucer - 5 1/2" diameter x 1" H
Condition: Very Good. No chips or cracks.
