This Victorian aesthetic 5 3/4 " wide x 2 " tall shallow bowl plate is transfer printed in black with wonderful underglaze painting in ochre red. A very unusual and rare form possibly for condiments or Japanese bonsai.
The pattern features a fantastic band along the rim of flowering vines and half moon geometrics. Japanesque flowers, a Bee and a Ladybug grace the outside of the interesting form. The pattern displays the victorian eras love of the exotic.
Condition is EXCELLENT, shiny and bright, appears to have never been used. No chips, no cracks, no hairlines and no repairs.
